a film that gave me quite a lot of inspiration when thinking of the plot for this film was the new hit trailer for 'unfriended' which has actually gone viral and continues to grow increasingly popular by the day. it is a story of technology and how it can be manipulated to go against people and show people just how unsafe they really are.
I think the thing that scares people most about this trailer is the fact of how relatable it is, in a lot of classic horror movies it seems as though you could tell what was going to happen before it had really even happened, and this meant that throughout recent times, horror films have become somewhat predictable, however unfriended plays on how tech savvy its audiences now are and how open we are to technology so cleverly they made the plot of the film about something we all do so that audiences had something to relate to making the film as a whole a lot scarier it seems.
I am not going to copy the story line of unfriended however i do think that it would be a good idea to have some kind of technology that we all use in the film to make that audience think about the film even after they have watched it. whether it be facetiming a friend, something to do with a user on a certain website or perhaps how private the web actually is? I feel as though with the right resources horror films could be took to another level if we played around the concept of the modern world and technology rather than monsters.
